This project consisted of a new cafeteria building, kitchen, and Culinary Arts teaching kitchen for area high school. The facility was designed with emphasis on de-emphasizing the institutional feeling and offering students a dining experience similar to "dining out". A large patio area is available for outdoor dining as the local weather is often conducive.

 

The facility is also designated as an enhanced hurricane protection area and thus is structurally hardened and equipped with a potable water supply, generator connection and other features to house persons in the event of a significant weather event.

 

Our responsibilities included mechanical and electrical design and construction administration for the new cafeteria and kitchen at area high school. We were responsible for all design, construction specifications and construction administration of mechanical and electrical systems. Our services also included design of backup and emergency systems and coordination with the kitchen designer/consultant.
